Among the most outstanding places on the Basque coast is La Concha beach in San Sebastián. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, as well as the Zumaia cliffs, which offer an impressive view of the geological layers that have been formed over millions of years.

Walk through the center of San Sebastián. We combine this walk with a visit to the best pintxo bars in the city, as well as visiting emblematic and not so well-known corners of the Gipuzkoan capital.
Walk to The Comb of the Wind as well as a funicular ride. We will go up Mount Igeldo where we will enjoy the best views of the San Sebastián coast.

1st Course: Bream. Euskadi and the Whale
Whaling in the Basque Country was an important activity from the 12th to the 19th century. Basque whalers used the bayonet hunting technique to hunt whales in the Cantabrian Sea and extract their oil. The last Cantabrian whale was hunted at the beginning of the 20th century in the town of Orio, where we take you on your first day to learn about this history, and enjoy the famous sea bream in one of its unique restaurants.

2nd Course: TXAKOLI AND GRILL. THE BASQUE COUNTRY AND THE NAVIGATORS
Basque sailors have historically been recognized for their sailing and fishing skills. Since ancient times, the Basques have used their knowledge to explore and trade in different parts of the world, even before the discovery of America. Perhaps the most prominent figure among Basque navigators was Elkano, the first to circumnavigate the globe. On this second day, and after learning about the history of the whalers, we will take you to the town where Juan Sebastian was born so that you can continue exploring and getting to know more corners of the Basque coast as well as its Txakolí and its tasty gastronomy.

3rd Course: Geopark of the Basque Coast
Zumaia is known for its impressive cliffs that show a cross section of the Earth’s geological history, including rocks from more than 60 million years ago. The town of Zumaia has been the scene of different movies and television series; as an example, the famous Itzurun beach. This is where several scenes from the Game of Thrones series were filmed. In addition to being the set of different recordings, this same beach has unique rock formations.
